1994 ANNUAL REPORT

We, the Washington State Patrol, answer our citizens' call for public safety.

Image of 1994 report cover The Washington State ferry on the cover of the 1994 Annual Report signifies the addition of vessel and terminal security (VATS) to the many other services provided by the department.

In 1994, Washington state recorded its lowest death rate ever: 1.33 deaths per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. This was a significant accomplishment with the addition of the state ferry routes, which extended the State Patrol's jurisdiction of the highway system.
