ON-LINE
CHILD SAFETY
It's not just
away from the home that we need to be watchful. Children can become
victims at home while on the computer on-line. Here are a few tips to
keep in mind:
- Be involved
and spend time with your child when he/she is on-line
- Never give
out personal information in a chat room or on a bulletin board
- Tell your
child to let you know if he/she receives an obscene or suggestive
message
- Never allow
a face-to-face meeting between your child and a person met on-line
- Review the
NCMEC's Child Safety on the Information Highway brochure for more information.
- Read the
Kids and the Internet information on the Office of the Attorney General Web site for additional tips provided by a variety of experts on Internet safety.
