Fire Protection Bureau: 2002 Report of Accomplishments
|
Washington State Fire Marshal
Fireworks Enforcement Education Campaign It is our intention to assist local jurisdictions in enforcing the Fireworks Law Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 70.77. To this end, we have prepared an enforcement educational campaign dedicated to those charged with fireworks safety in general. These documents are available upon request from our office and have been placed here to make their distribution as easy as possible. The following documents contain information on fireworks retail sales stand requirements, facts on transportation and violations, a model operations procedure and a model seizure plan. In their digital format, any jurisdiction can format/enhance the model plans to fit their local ordinances.
An identification poster, companion to the model plan, is also available from this office through the mail. If you have any questions regarding fireworks - enforcement, licensing, and/or general information - you can contact either Larry Glenn at (360) 570-3133 or Humberto Rodriguez at (360) 570-3134 at any time Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As public servants,
we should encourage our citizens to celebrate safely, but as fire officials
we must require citizens to CELEBRATE LEGALLY. |
