Desired
Outcomes
-
By educating
Hispanic/Latino youths on traffic safety, a moderate reduction of
traffic accidents can be projected into the next decade as the concept
of safe driving practices become incorporated into the students'
culture, and as they share this information with their families
and their community.
-
Students will
benefit from life skills training to encompass leadership, public
speaking, organization and team building, which they will carry
with them into adulthood.
-
Students' esteem
will increase as they become more comfortable in their role of Ambassadors,
and as they begin to be perceived as leaders by their peers.
-
Students' bilingual/bicultural
skills will be highly valued in their role of Ambassadors, which
will put a global perspective to these skills.
-
Possible recruitment
tool for the Washington State Patrol and other police departments.
