Thank you for visiting District Three’s web page.  I am very proud of the men and women that work in District 3.  I am honored to serve the citizens of this state as the District Commander.

There are 137 Washington State Patrol employees serving the south central and southeastern part of our state including Yakima, Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, Garfield, Columbia, and Asotin counties.  There are 53 field troopers and seven sergeants that are responsible for enforcing traffic and criminal laws, collision investigation, and assisting motorists on 1,000 miles of state routes and Interstate highways.  In addition to the 53 field troopers, we also have troopers and commercial vehicle officers focused on enforcing laws related to commercial trucks, as well as troopers assigned as detectives.  The district also has civil service employees that provide vital support to our district such as communication officers, professional office staff, radio technicians, fire marshals, evidence officers, and VIN inspectors.  I am very fortunate to have talented and experienced employees working in the district.

I grew up in the small eastern Washington town of Goldendale.  I attended college at the School of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Biology.  I returned to my home state and have been employed by the Washington State Patrol since 1990.  I have served in a variety of assignments in our agency, including Field Operations, Defensive Tactics Instructor at the Academy, Office of Professional Standards, Narcotics, and Organized Crime.  I am humbled to lead our district employees and believe they provide a critical service to their communities.

District Three headquarters is located in Union Gap with detachment offices located in Sunnyside, Kennewick, and Walla Walla.  Please visit our detachment web pages to view the specific information about each office.
