Washington State Patrol title head District 1: Goals & Objectives

 
Goals


To facilitate a safe and efficient motoring environment on state highways by:
  • Detection and apprehension of drivers operating motor vehicles while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
  • Reduce aggressive driving.
  • Reduce speed-related collisions.
  • Enforce zero tolerance of seat belt and child safety restraint violations.
  • Reduce the number of collisions caused by DUI, drugs, speed, and aggressive driving through enforcement and community education.
  • Community outreach to encourage, develop, and nurture interagency partnerships at the local, state, and federal level in support of community interests.
