Cadet Class Graduation and Awards

After every Trooper Basic Cadet Class, the Academy hosts an open house and awards ceremony followed by the graduation ceremony, which is usually held at the Washington State Capitol building in Olympia. At the graduation, Trooper Cadets march in formation from the Capital campus parking to the Rotunda. The ceremony opens with the WSP Honor Guard and National Anthem, followed by the swearing in of the new officers by the Washington State Supreme Court Chief Justice.
