Dear Ms Parker:

I am writing in response to the ad that you placed in the July 10th edition of the Seattle Times classified section. I am very excited about the position as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the intensive care unit.

As my resume will attest, I am very qualified for this position. My qualifications include the following: Completed a two-year Practical Nursing program at North Seattle Community College - 1990, Licensed by the State Board of Practical Nursing - 1990, Three years experience as an LPN in an intensive care unit.

I am a very enthusiastic worker who can catch on to things quickly and make good judgments. In addition, I have a large medical vocabulary, and I am able to present information accurately. I am able to handle high stress situations, and deal with frequent emergency situations. I also have good hand-eye coordination. In addition, I have also been involved in assisting with the planning of patients' care programs.

With my experience and enthusiastic, caring attitude, I would fit right into the environment at Northwest Hospital. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss my qualifications for this position. You can reach me at 792-0274.

I appreciate the time you have taken to review my resume. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
