The Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist at Colville WorkSource invites you to utilize the WorkSource website services, 24/7, on the internet, or visit the office in Colville, 8-5 (M-F). I also conduct monthly outreach and have jobs listed in the four-county area and statewide. You may view these jobs and/or list new jobs at our website located at: http://go2worksource.com. Employment and Training Services for Veterans
Description of Program/Service: The Veteran’s Unit consists of the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP). Services are provided to the four-county veteran population through multi-media resources and in-person outreach. Activities are regulated by Title 38 of the United States Code and regularly monitored by Department of Labor Veterans (DOLVETS).
Eligibility Requirements: Be a veteran of active duty military service in the armed forces for a period of more than 180 days and released therefrom with an other than dishonorable discharge OR released from active duty with a service connected disability. Required to provide or obtain a copy of DD-214, proof and character of service. Military reservist may also be eligible if they were called to active duty for a period of more than 180 days for other than active duty for training. As a member of a reserve component or National Guard under orders to active duty, served on active duty during a period of war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge is authorized and was discharged or released from such duty with anything other than a dishonorable discharge. Spouses of veterans who died of a service connected disability and dependents of a veteran who has a total disability permanent in nature resulting from a service connected disability are also eligible persons.
Potential Services Offered: Free registration into SKIES and up to an 8 hour veterans priority on new job orders, access to resource library, computer lab and on-site resume assistance, case management and job development, links to financial assistance for relocation, pre-employment interviews, work enabling equipment, and emergency support. Job search assistance, links to on-the-job and classroom training programs. Also links to Veteran Service Organization Service Officers for assistance with Veterans Administration (VA) Disability Claims,VA Forms, and VA Vocational Rehabilitation..
How and Where Services are Provided: Services are provided to residents of Stevens, Ferry, Lincoln, and Pend Oreille Counties. We provide services in person, by fax, email and phone.

· Placed on priority call list for new job orders matching desired employment
· Under veteran’s priority only veterans may be referred to the job in accordance with Wagner-Peyser and U.S.C. Title 38
· Screened for eligibility for other veterans benefits
