TAXIS (Tax Information System) is the automated system in which employer information is processed and stored. For example, this information includes:

• The location and ownership of the business.
• The status of the employer’s liability for UI taxes
• Records of UI tax reports submitted, taxes paid, and delinquent reports and taxes.
• Details of each employee’s wages and hours worked each quarter.

TAXIS interfaces with the benefit computer system (GUIDE) for several purposes including:

• Calculation of monetary eligibility using the wage records on file in TAXIS.
• Tax rate calculations based partially on the record of benefit charges in GUIDE.
