This short guide will show you how to change the default screen when you open up Outlook. Most people have "Inbox" set as their default Outlook screen. This guide will show you how to change the default screen to Calendar, Contacts, or Outlook Today.

.) Open up Microsoft Outlook to reveal your default opening screen. The Inbox screen is my default opening page as you can see in this example.
.) The first step to change my default screen is to go up to "Tools" on the menubar and select "Options."

.) The "Options" box will appear. Press the "Other" tab. Once you are on the "Other" section, click on "Advanced Options..."

.) The "Advanced Options" box will appear. Click on the drop-down menu arrow to reveal the choices that you can change your default Outlook screen to. I'm going to select "Outlook Today" for my default screen. Once you have made your selection, go to the bottom of the box and click the "OK" button.

.) After you press the "OK" button in the previous step, the "Options" box will reappear. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the "Options" box.

.) The next time that you start up Outlook, your new default screen will be displayed. In my example, Outlook Today appears as my default screen.
