Personal Assistance

Employment Specialists are available, by appointment, to meet with you to discuss your progress along your Pathway to Employment, job search activities, and training needs. To schedule an appointment, you may either call 509-532-3120 or visit our Front Desk. You may also qualify for intensive job placement assistance and or training.

Job Skill Training Assistance

If employers tell you that your skills need to be updated, learn more on how to obtain financial assistance to get the training you need. Watch this PowerPoint presentation (with audio) for more information. Headphones are available for use at the front desk.

Computer Resource Center

The computers in our resource center are loaded with the latest résumé and career software that gives you the edge on the latest skills, occupational trends and wages in your chosen career field. We have high speed network connections for the Internet and also provide auxiliary accommodations/aids for any job seeker. You can access today's tools to design an award winning résumé, conduct online job searches or work skill assessments, access the self-sufficiency calculator to determine if the job you are considering will offer economic self sufficiency and much more in our computer resource center.

Job Search Services

Complimentary local telephone, fax and TTY calls, assistive technology for all seekers' needs, limited use of copiers and printers for job search activities and community resource information such as public transportation, childcare assistance, food banks, etc.

Workshops and Classes

Workshops and classes are available in many job search and related topics at WorkSource Spokane. For additional assistance and information on the latest techniques concerning your job search, networking with employers, salary trends, or with your résumé, come to one of our career workshops.

Unemployment Insurance

Apply for unemployment benefits or file a weekly claim online at Go2UI.com or call the Spokane County TeleCenter at 800-318-6022.

Affordable Care Act
The Washington Health Plan Finder is now available online at www.wahealthplanfinder.org. This resource provides a variety of information, such as a calculator to find a health benefit plan; sign-up for email updates; see side-by-side comparisons of health care plans and how to connect to help. The Toll-Free Customer Support Call Center business hours are 7:30 am – 8:00 pm Monday through Friday. Help will be available in up to 175 different languages. The phone number is 1-855-WAFINDER (1-855-923-4633) or TTY/TDD 1-855-627-9604.
