Desk Aids
Basic Labor Exchange business function aids in SKIES.  The Desk Aids supplement the SKIES training manual and agency policies.

Job Match Functionality
The SKIES application currently has three forms designed with the primary function of job matching. The current SKIES Binoculars searches are often used to search for job orders or Job Seekers meeting certain criteria. Binoculars was not designed for job matching as a primary function. Binoculars was designed to search for multiple records. Describes areas redesigned with job matching as a primary function.

AutoCoder Tutorial
An e-learning tutorial on the new AutoCoder feature in SKIES.
SKIES Review
A multiple choice review to be completed prior to receiving training certification and user access to SKIES.
Out-of-School
Provides instructions for assigning a test for WIA out-of-school youth participants.
Request for Service
Use the Request for Service (RFS) screen to log in customers requesting a service. The customer does not need a record in SKIES to request a service, however, a record must be created to provide the service. Staff can print a list of customers for today up to the previous 29 days.

SKIES User Profile Guides

Staff Profile User Guide

Create, update, view and delete in most fields within the Job Seeker, Provider, Employer, Staff Functions and on-line queries. Training is hands-on practice within each section. The estimated time to complete the staff user training is 32 hours.

Read Only Profile User Guide

View-only access in most fields of Job Seeker, Provider, Employer, Staff Functions, query forms and to request and run reports. The estimated time to complete the view-only user training is six hours and hands-on practice is recommended.

Reception Profile User Guide

Create, update, view and delete in limited fields within Job Seeker, Provider, Employer and Staff Functions. Reception User access does not have access to Job Seeker programs, Job Seeker services, assessment, employment plan, job placement, testing mass call-in, service referrals, job orders, job match, and queries. Training is hands-on practice within each section. The estimated time to complete the training is 20 hours.

Correspondence Profile (word.doc)

Create, update, delete and access to correspondence templates created within the user assigned office. Training is hands-on practice for each section and the estimated time to complete the correspondence user training is three hours.

Administrative Profile (word.doc)

Allows maintenance of office and correspondence tables in the Administration section. The Administrator profile is able to create, update, and delete in most fields within Job Seeker, Provider, Employer, and Staff Functions.

Information Technology Profile (word.doc)

Allows maintenance to Test Administration, Table Maintenance (locally maintained tables only) Staff Maintenance, SCANS Maintenance in Administration, and on-line queries.

Program Editor Profile (word.doc)

Provides the ability to edit the frozen data.  The Program Editor allows local offices to maintain correct program data for participants. This Profile may create, update, and delete within the Job Seeker, Provider, Employer, and Staff Functions. This section describes the Program Editor Profile only.

Staff Profile training is required prior to receiving access in the Program Editor Profile.
