New J-Initiator 1.3.1.18

The NEW J-Initiator 1.3.1.18 is now a link on the SKIES web site under "downloads". The SKIES application servers will be updated to use this new J-Initiator in the near future. The exact date is to be determined and a follow-up announcement will be sent at that time.

State Government Network

An automated software update push is scheduled for offices using the State Government Network (SGN). Each office will be notified prior to the automated software update along with instructions for completing the installation.

LAN Administrators

In the meantime, for offices not on the SGN, Local Area Network (LAN) Administrators can click on the download link and get a jumpstart on the installation of the NEW J-Initiator on individual PCs.

New & Old Initiators

The NEW J-Initiator (1.3.1.18) and the current J-Initiator (1.3.1.9) can reside together on the same machine and in fact the current J-Initiator or Java Virtual Machine are necessary to run the current configuration of SKIES servers. It's not necessary to uninstall the current J-Initiator.

Download & Installation

Most users will not have sufficient permissions to download and install software. Should your permissions not allow you to download and install software, the software update business policy/process in your office does not allow you to update/install software, or that you are unsure, contact the LAN Administrator in your area.

Installation Failure

Please note that if you attempt to download software without the proper permissions, you will receive error messages or warnings. This does not mean that the downloading link is corrupt.
