Are
JobNet/TAXIS converted records considered TAXIS records
and therefore unable to merge because the system recognizes
them as TAXIS/TAXIS records? (05/22/07)
Converted TAXIS records are considered TAXIS records and can
not merge. We initially received a full dump of TAXIS
created Employers when SKIES went into production. From that
point forward, records are received through the regularly
scheduled interface. That is the difference between
converted TAXIS and interface TAXIS. All still originated
from TAXIS.
What
about data conversion records (not specified as JobNet)?
Are they TAXIS records and cannot merged – or – can they
merge? (05/22/07)
As long as the originating system was not TAXIS or through
the interface with Go2Worksource.com, the system allows them
to merge.
How to
keep other counties, WDAs, people, from having access to a
particular office or area’s employer record? (05/22/07)
Currently, there is no policy or statewide practice to
prohibit WDAs from sharing an employer record. This concern
will be presented at the next SKIES Change Control Board
meeting to assist with identifying the appropriate entity
for resolution.
Locating an Employer
in New Placement: Why can’t I locate the Employer? I was trying to
exit a Job Seeker out of Seeker Programs/Unsubsidized Employment and
clicked on the New Placement button, clicked on the New Job Tab and I
cannot locate the Employer
In the
Locate Employer Screen/Employer Field-type in the Employer Name
followed by a % wildcard. Click on the Query Existing button and SKIES
will show a list of Employers. Click on the Select button, to the left
of your Employer, and finish with the Job Placement information.
Employer/Job seeker
Job Match: Will I get the same list of Job Seekers matched for a Job
Order when I access the Employer/Job Order/Make Referral tab/Match
Seeker button as when I access the Employer/Job Match/Search button?
NO. The two lists
of Matched Job Seekers are different? The two processes,
searching for matching potential job seekers and searching for
available job openings are definitely two separate processes and
the results will vary. The search for available job openings
matches against available job listings and the match criteria is
one-to-one; the one-to-one match criteria is the same in the
reverse search for matching job openings to available seekers;
is again specifically designed to match the job listing exactly
or better. Therefore, the results of doing these searches, i.e.,
search for openings and search for seekers will rarely show the
same detailed information. Depending upon what criteria is on
the job listing, will determine what seekers are listed as
results of that search. Visa versa if the detail on the seeker
is slightly different and the available job listings will vary
as well.
