HomeLogon to SKIES

Logging on OUTSIDE the firewall

Click on the SKIES button under the words “Outside.”

When the site comes up, it will detect what the configuration is on the local user’s machine and automatically go to the appropriate chice of either JINNI or I.E. NATIVE. This will take several seconds. If the SKIES log on window appears, click on the START button and use the established log on procedures with user name and password.

If a gray security window appears asking you to download a patch from Oracle, Click YES. If you put a check mark into the “always trust Oracle downloads” box, you will not have to click YES to this message again. If you do not put a check mark into this message, each time you attempt to log onto SKIES, you will encounter this security window and will need to click YES every time. At the completion of the download, you should see the logon screen to SKIES.

If the automatic functionality of the web page does not take you to either the above security window or the logon screen and you are using a computer with Windows 95 or 98, you will need to download the Java Virtual Machine. There are some computers using operating systems of Windows 95 or 98 that do not have the Java Virtual Machine loaded that is required to run SKIES application through I.E. NATIVE.

Download the MS JAVA VIRTUAL MACHINE. (The link for this download is located on the Inside SKIES webpage in the lower right corner titled “Software Downloads”) When this step has been completed, begin the steps to connect to SKIES again.

If you are experiencing problems printing screens using the Help/Print Screen button, download the Free Ware PrintKey software from this link (please check with your desktop support person before installing software). This print screen utility stays in the system tray (lower right corner of your screen) until needed. Put exactly what you want on the screen and click it and you hear a shutter click as it takes a "picture" of the screen which you can then crop, manipulate, change color or skew as needed prior to printing. You can preview the picture, add the date, user info, and any text you choose before printing on the selected printer. Click on the link to download PrintKey and save it to your computer – be sure to note the folder it is saved to. When the download is complete, double click Printkey.exe to install the software.
