New Features for Staff

Configurable “How to Apply” Instructions

WorkSource and AJB jobs will display a redesigned “How to Apply” section with simple, clear instructions.  SKIES jobs will include a “How to Request a Referral” section which will include methods of contact that can be specified by the listing office. No reference will be made to imply the application will automatically be forwarded to the employer. Each office will tailor their own display of these instructions for job orders listed by that office.

Suspect job order notification report

A daily “error” report, by office, will be available to alert staff of SKIES job orders containing data that may be incorrect. Examples: worksite location lists an out of state location; salary lists an out of range figure; or experience required is out of range. Staff may see this report through the Pending List report section if suspicious data were found.  Staff may remove the entry if the data was correct as entered or when a correction is made.

Customized Referral Instructions

If indicated in the SKIES Job Order that a generic application is required by the employer, the job seeker will be prompted to fill out the on-line application form before requesting a referral to that job. If the listing office chooses to require that applicants report in-person to request a referral, the apply online feature will be disabled for that job and seekers will be instructed to report to the office to request a referral.

Pending List Security

Staff will use their SKIES account username for accessing the Pending List.  Staff will be able to access only those lists for the office(s) they are assigned to in SKIES. The Pending List Username box will be removed from the split screen. The system will read and record the user’s name at login and will retain this information throughout the session.

Maximum of 5 referral requests per day

In order to better manage the Pending List workload, only a maximum of 5 SKIES referral requests per day (24 hours) will be allowed.  Seekers will be able to see the daily count as they select their jobs of interest, and will be warned that they are limited to only five requests per day. Referral request removed from Pending List when job is fully referred. All pending referral request entries for a SKIES job order whose status has gone from OPEN to any other status will be automatically removed from the Pending List.

An auto-generated notice will be sent to the applicant to advise of the job’s new status.  The message will also state that should the job be reopened, the seeker’s resume will again be available for consideration.
