Messaging Service

A new WorkSource Messaging Service will be available for registered employers and job seekers.  The messaging service will provide an alternative for job seekers who don’t have an e-mail address. Employers can use the service to communicate with prospective applicants; and receive notifications, announcements, and communications from Central Office and/or field staff.

Seekers will not be able to initiate messages, but will be able to reply to messages received from employers or staff. Seekers will be advised that notifications of the results of their job referral requests will be found in the message section of their WorkSource online account.

Content Updates

Schedules
WorkSource Workshop schedules will be moved to the WorkSource Office Directory section rather than the current location in Current Events. The WorkSource Directory will be expanded to include: services provided, office hours, driving directions and map.

Listings
The current number of job listings will be displayed on the Seeker home page. The number of active resumes will be displayed on the Employer home page.

Content
Content in the Job Links, Career Links, and Resources for Employers sections of the web site will be updated.

Help
Help screens will be updated throughout the Web site. Each content area will be linked to help topics related to that section of the web site.

To help make information easier to find, users will be able to search all content on the web site by entering a key word or phrase into a “Site Search” box that will be available on all pages of the site

Multiple Language Translation

Systran software will replace the Babelfish software that currently translates static content, but not resumes and job orders.

Systran, a more comprehensive product, will translate any job order or résumé, as well as all static content, into 6 languages: Spanish, Russian, Korean, Simplistic Chinese, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese.
