EMPLOYER

Will an employer’s record stay in the new system?

Yes, if the employer has a job order attached to their account. If a job order is not attached, the system will look at the last posted or modified date of the account and if it is within the past 18 months, the employer’s account will be in the new system.

Say 3 staff work in the HR Dept and one of the HR staff leaves, what happens to the security? Will the HR person still be able to view results even though they no longer work for that employer?

Yes, they could continue to access the account unless the departing staff or the employer transfers the account to another staff or closes it. If the login information is not known, the employer may contact the WorkSource Help Desk for assistance.

Why are we waiting 180 days or longer for an employer to remove a job order from a website? Why not 90 days? If it is a continuous order, it should be monitored by employer and kept current anyway. I believe 180 days promotes old orders on site and gives employers excuses to be lazy in removing outdated orders.

The180 days or longer refers to the job order being available in the employer’s WorkSource account to view for reference or to use to reopen another job. The job will be viewable on the website for the number of days the employer enters when posting or updating the job. The default is 30 days.

Will order control in King County or other WorkSource offices be able to change employer info, contact info, etc?

WorkSource staff will not be able to change WorkSource employer information. Staff can change SKIES employer/job order information through the SKIES system.

SEEKER

How will job seekers know about changes to Go2WorkSource? Will there be a help screen?

The homepage for seeker and employer will have a link to the new changes. The Help is extensive and newly updated. It can be easily accessed by clicking on the Help link at the top of the page.

Will an employer be able to find a jobseeker's resume by putting their name in the keyword search area?

The employer cannot keyword search the person’s name as it appears on their registration. The jobseeker’s name can be searched by keyword if they add their name to the body of the resume.

Is the User ID on the seeker registration case sensitive?

The seeker’s User ID is not case sensitive. However, it must contain 6 letters/numbers or more. The seeker’s Password is case sensitive.

Can you still access the generic application from the left hand side drop down?

You will be able to access the Application form through the Help link and then access resume/application help.

Will there be a new posting date when customer info loads into the new Web site. Will customer receive new data?

The posting date will remain the same. The data that the seeker or employer has entered will also remain the same.

RESUME/APPLICATION

If you edit and update a resume, does it change the date shown on the employer search?

Yes, the resume will have a new modification date and the resume will move up in the employer search list. There is no change to this function. It works this way today.

RESUME BUILDER and WorkSource Application - education history name and school attended: what about people that attended school outside US?

True, the drop down only lists US cities and states rather than all the cities of the world. A work around for an out of country school would be to enter the city somewhere else in the entry or add it as text elsewhere in the resume.

What is the purpose of "Honors & Activities" in the resume section?

This is a free text area to enter any honors the user might have received in their experience such as “Student of the Year”. Activities would be activities that might be connected with the desired job or something that may spark the interest of the employer.

Will all the resumes currently in the system for a specific job seeker be accessible after V7 is active?

Resume/seeker accounts that have been active for the last 18 months will be accessible after Go2WorkSource Version 7. 0 is implemented.

On the average, how long does it take a job seeker to build a resume, keeping in mind that computer use is limited to 2 hours?

This would vary depending on the degree of computer literacy for each user. The Copy and Paste resume gives the user the ability to copy and paste an existing resume. This resume should take very little time – 15 to 20 minutes. The Resume Builder and Application should not take any longer than 30 to 60 minutes.

REFERRAL REQUESTS

If an applicant has already been referred to a job order, will the system automatically prevent an applicant from applying for the same job on the pending list again?

Yes, the applicant will get a message telling them they have already been referred to this job and they cannot re-apply.

In the Admin section, will a preview of ALL letters (accept/reject) be provided, prior to being sent?

Staff will be able to select and preview all (accept/reject) letters available and edit the selected letter before it is sent to the applicant. Sent letters can also be viewed on the Referrals by Job ID report.

What will the message say to the applicant when they have reached the five limit per day?

“You are limited to a maximum of five referral requests per day.”

How will we be able to respond to the applicant as we do thru the 'Wenapps' outlook?

Staff will still be able to respond through their Referral Request (Pend List) email account, such as Wenapps@esd.wa.gov
