Internship Currently, the WorkSource Quick Search and Advanced Search for jobs and resumes provides a checkbox for seekers to find Part Time only, Entry Level only, and Short term only. This change request is adding Internship to that selection. |

User Feedback Form It has been decided the complex Feedback process will be deferred to Version 7X. However, the Feedback system must be in place when Version 7 is implemented to handle user issues. This Change Request is to add the Feedback input form, accessible from the Web site. |

O*Net Code Collection Currently, WorkSource collects the first level ONET code from the job order entry completed by the employer. In this way, seekers can find jobs by the first level consisting of 23 occupational categories. Central office staff, using an ONET tool to further define the code, compare the job order content with ONET codes associated with the selected ONET family. The tool also allows staff to search other ONET families which may produce a better fit. Version 7 would replace this time-consuming process with a similar tool located within the WorkSource job order function which enables the employer to select the complete code before submitting the job order. Central Office staff would later review the selection to ensure its accuracy. |

County Geographical Distinctions In WorkSource currently, searching all jobs in Snohomish or Pierce County can result in over 1000 jobs found for each county. This change would assign each job in Snohomish County to one of 3 distinct areas such as Northwest, Southwest, and East. Job seekers would still be able to view jobs by the full county but would also have the option to be more specific. The geographical distinctions would appear in Quick Search and Advanced Search. Business representatives in each of the counties would provide the breakout by zip code. |

Applicant/Resume Data Currently, WorkSource sends the WorkSource ID, SSN, post date, and zip code fields to the data warehouse when a new applicant/resume is entered into WorkSource. This change would begin sending the following data: Seeker registration ID, Seeker SSN, Resume post date, Seeker zip code, Referral date to a WA job, Application date to a WS job, Job ID of the job, ONET code of the job, ES Ref # of the employer posting the job |

Search Result Integration The current functionality requirements of 7.0 for partners is less functional than is being utilized by the LMEA applications Workforce Explorer and Claimant Progress List. Both of these two applications use other interfaces (not WS) for the user to select an area code and occupation code, and then the applications pass those parameters to WS and return the results of the WS search to their applications. The results return the list of jobs, and are hyperlinked so users can access all the relevant data for the job listings. Our need is to be able to pass an area code and occupation code, and get the search results so they can be integrated into other application and displays. This could be done through creating a web service, creating new functionality, or modifying existing search functionality. Web services is probably the most flexible and cost effective. |
