Each summer the Clark County Fair employs over 200 individuals (ages 14 & up) to help produce this family-favorite event. Types of jobs available for the Clark County Fair include:

Food Court * Garbage Crew * Horse Arena * General Worker Pool * Restroom Crew * Ticket Taker...and more!

The 2008 Clark County Fair will be from August 1-10th. All employees will be committed to work during those dates. Application sessions will take place at the fairgrounds in May/June. Applications will be provided, or anyone can download them at www.clarkcofair.com/employment.htm and bring them completed to the sessions. 

Verification of employment will be facilitated by the Fairgrounds Human Resources. They will notify all applicants the week of July 14, 2008 and the new employee Orientation will be July 22, 2008,  7:00 p.m.,  at the Fairgrounds. Youth ages 14-17 yrs must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Background checks will be conducted on all applicants 18 years or older.

Openings and Requirements:
  • All Positions: Ability to pass a background and reference check.
  • Guest Services: Ability to greet patrons, provide accurate information, professionally resolve customer complaints and assist disabled guests.
  • Alcohol Monitors: Ability to check IDs, interact with guests consuming alcoholic beverages to prevent over-consumption and help find alternative transportation home.
  • Security: Ability to monitor property and persons.
  • Parking Operations: Ability to assist patrons with parking when they arrive and leave a venue.
  • Traffic Operations: Ability to assist with traffic flow by flagging cars on the street.
  • Conversion Services: Ability to setup tents, tables, chairs, barricades and stages.

The fair represents an opportunity for job seekers to contact the 30 major radio stations from the greater Puget Sound area about a variety of job openings, including engineering, sales, accounting, HR, programming, promotions, and many others.

This is an opportunity to visit with a variety of personnel from many stations. Each group will have at least one person that is in charge of hiring at their company. Many times the General Sales Managers, Production Directors, Program Directors, and others will also take turns at their booths. The Job Fair emphasizes that there are many people with many skill sets, behind the scenes as well as on air, that contribute to the radio stations’ successful operations.

Seattle Community College Television (SCCTV) will also participate in the fair. They will contribute an iPod prize drawing for all Job Fair attendees to enter to win.

The building is on the east side of the North Seattle Community College campus. Admission is free. Metro bus routes 5, 16, 75, 316, 345, 346, serve the campus directly. Parking on campus is also available.

King County Elections will be onsite at WorkSource King County offices to recruit & hire 600+ Full-Time, Temporary Elections Workers.

  • Wage: $15.63/hr
  • ALL Jobs located in Renton
  • June start date.
Most qualified applicants will:
  • be available to work flexible schedules, including some weekends and overtime
  • have some experience with assembly/production or high-volume phone work/data entry
Be prepared to complete an employment application and interview with King County recruiters at these events. Check-in time is 30 minutes before the session start times (9am, 10:30am, 1pm, or 2:30pm). First come, first served basis.
